Help open a family home for children who need one.

Nicola spent years inside St. Petersburg, Russia orphanages, then a village children’s home in Kyrgyzstan. Administrators let her in when other foreign groups rarely got that access, because they trusted her. Hope for Tomorrow became a US nonprofit in 2009. Now she and Drew are opening a home of their own.

A house. A table. A garden. A family — not an institution.

$150,000 lets us begin.
$550,000 means the home is ready when children arrive.

Monthly gifts are how a home eats. A one-time gift helps us begin. Even a dollar makes a difference.

Been there

Before there was a Caring Family home, Nicola was already teaching orphans life skills in family settings, and serving children most at risk of being left behind.

She still went to Kyrgyzstan in 2010 when the country was in unrest. She ran dental trips until village nurses said those children had the best teeth in town. Graduates still call. That is the experience behind this home — years of showing up, not a plan on paper.

Drew spent about a year and a half in rural Guyana as a boy in the mid-1960s. That stretch changed how he sees the world. In 2018, after they married, he went with Nicola to the village children’s home where she had volunteered in Kyrgyzstan. He saw the work first-hand and did not want to leave. He stands with her in opening Caring Family’s home.

What your gift does

Your gift is for the home itself: a place to begin, and what it takes to be ready when children come. We will not read you a spreadsheet. Two numbers. That is the whole ask.

$150,000 — Begin: secure and stand up the first family home.
$550,000 — Be ready: home prepared when children arrive, without scrambling.

How giving works right now

  1. You give on this page.
  2. Hope for Tomorrow receives the gift (US 501(c)(3)).
  3. Those funds go to Caring Family’s work in the Kyrgyz Republic.

When Caring Family can receive gifts directly, we will say so here. Until then, this is the honest path.

A note on children

We do not put children’s names or faces on this page. Their stories stay private.
